Privacy Policy (English)
This policy explains how CHRIS DAY ("CorgiTalk", "we") handles personal information when you use the CorgiTalk Korean website. It is written to meet the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, for visitors from the EU and UK, the GDPR.
1. Summary
- Your learning progress is saved only in your browser.
- We only store your email if you join the waitlist, and only to tell you when new stages open.
- We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
- We do not record or store your voice.
- In Talk to Bori, what you type is sent to Anthropic to write Bori's reply. We do not store the conversation.
2. What we collect and why
| When | Information | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| You join the waitlist | Email address, the page you joined from, date and time | Emailing you when a new stage opens or the service launches | Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we stop sending launch updates |
| You sign in to a shared demo profile (optional) | Learning progress (cards learned, practice answers, speaking step done) and a sign-in session. Demo profiles are shared and contain no personal details. | Syncing progress across devices | Until the demo profile is reset or the service ends |
| You chat in Talk to Bori with AI replies on | The messages you type in that round (and the conversation so far), sent with the request. No name, email, or account is attached | Writing Bori's reply | Not stored by CorgiTalk. Processed by Anthropic under its commercial terms and retention policy |
| Anyone visits the site | IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring site, approximate country | Delivering the website, keeping it secure, and counting page views | Kept according to the hosting provider's log and analytics retention settings |
Guest progress (when you are not signed in) is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to us.
Audio and speaking check. Korean audio is produced by your browser's built-in voice. When you press Say it, your browser may send your voice to its own speech service (for example, Google for Chrome or Apple for Safari) to turn it into text, under that company's privacy policy. CorgiTalk only sees the resulting text on the page to check your answer. It is not saved or sent to us. You can always skip the microphone and use I said it out loud instead.
Legal basis (GDPR). Waitlist emails: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Website delivery, security, and aggregate analytics: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure service. Demo profile progress and Talk to Bori replies: providing the service you asked for.
3. Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember your progress and, if you sign in, your session. Our analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) does not use cookies. You can clear this data in your browser settings or with the button below.
The product video on our home page is hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, it plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and Google's Privacy Policy applies to that playback.
4. Service providers and international transfers
We do not share your information with third parties for their own use. We rely on these providers to run CorgiTalk:
| Provider | Role | Information | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. | Website hosting, security, page-view analytics | Connection data (IP address, browser, pages requested) | United States, with a global edge network |
| Anthropic, PBC | AI replies in Talk to Bori (Claude API) | Messages typed in Talk to Bori | United States |
| Supabase Inc. | Database and sign-in | Waitlist emails, demo profile progress | Region will be listed here before the waitlist or cloud sync is switched on |
Information is transferred over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) at the moment you use the site, and kept for the periods in section 2. Because CorgiTalk cannot run without hosting, you can refuse this transfer only by not using the site. You can refuse the database transfer by not joining the waitlist and not signing in; you can still use every lesson as a guest. You can avoid the transfer to Anthropic by not using Talk to Bori, or by using it while it is in practice mode.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete, or stop the processing of your information, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@corgitalk.com from the address you used, and we will respond within 10 days. To leave the waitlist, send a message with the subject "Unsubscribe". If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Children
CorgiTalk is not intended for children under 14 (under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security and deletion
- All traffic uses HTTPS.
- The waitlist table can only be added to from the website. It cannot be read back from a browser.
- Each signed-in profile can only read and change its own progress.
- Access to the database is limited to the operator.
- When information is no longer needed, it is permanently deleted from the database.

브라우저 설정 또는 위의 "Clear CorgiTalk data on this device" 버튼으로 언제든 삭제할 수 있습니다.
